Kudos to the HWC Student Government Association for the delicious scheduling irony of sponsoring both the Chocolate Party and the Health Fair on the same day. The ELL Chocolate Party packed a lot of students, faculty and staff into 203, pumped up loud music, and stuffed everybody with chocolate. It was, as you may imagine, a dangerous mix. I had the good sense to stumble out of the party before going into a sugar coma. Unfortunately, the good people at the health fair/ blood donation drive informed me that my blood sugar levels made me ineligible as a donor.

Agreed! I had such healthy Spring Rolls from the INU-Infinity National Union and then on to way too much chocolate. Ah the irony!
SGA has been very supportive of ALL HWC students and their support for the ELL/WL students is so appreciated!
I would also like to say that the ELL/World Languages Chocolate Party would never have happened without the many volunteers from Infinity National Union-the amazing HWC volunteer club. Not only did they assist with all set up, welcome, and clean up for the Chocolate Party. They also simultaneously hosted a very busy table at the HWC Health Fair.
Much love and gratitude to all who made this possible! (And a special shout out to my son Max for helping ALL DAY and my niece Chloe for helping wash the dishes.)
